Sandwell Charter Mark
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to share with you that our school has been awarded the Sandwell Well-being Charter Mark. This is awarded in recognition of our commitment to creating a school that promotes the well-being of pupils, staff and parents.
"The project addresses the well-being and mental health of all those in the school community (parents, staff, and pupils) and works on the premise that everyone, at some point in their life, will have some difficulties around mental health and need support from others. The Charter Mark criterion is also underpinned by the eight principles that have been identified by Public Health England to be important to emotional health and well- being: Promoting children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing: A whole school and college approach."
After a year of assessments and action-planning, we are one of the first schools in Kent to be recognised for this award. Particular thanks to Mrs Willock and Mrs Bateup in their support of this project. I am hugely proud of the continued work that everyone here at the school puts into supporting each other, the children and families.
Kind regards,
Julie Burton
