Bidborough Primary School PTA

The PTA organise activities and events throughout the year to help raise funds for the school as well as build a community that supports the school and each other.
The PTA functions as a registered charity and is operated by parents who volunteer their time.

Outdoor play and learning improvement project:

With the completion of the new classrooms coming ever closer, our attention is turning to how we adapt and re-imagine the outdoor space by the MUGA. Working closely with the school, we are excited for our fundraising focus for the foreseeable future to be the following school elements:

Exploring ways to support the re-introduction of a Forest School.
Providing another outdoor classroom to enable further educational opportunities in the fresh air.
Expanding the OPAL offering, which could include a bank slide, extension to the trim trail, a building/construction zone or sand pit/water play and substantial storage unit.

The total target for this project is £20,000 but we have already had a healthy head start thanks to all the successes of our recent events!

Other projects include:

Funding the subscription of adrenalin pens within school (in line with new legislation following Benedict's Law)
Running an Easter egg design competition as well as providing Easter treats for the children to enjoy.
Running own clothes day's throughout the year.
Supporting the school with their photography competition and production of the calendar.
