Newsletter: Friday 7th July

Dear Parents,

It has been a busy week! I’ve already shared with you the news of our move-up day yesterday. Our Year 6s shared their leavers play, ‘I’m an 11 year old, get me out of here’ to with the school and guests earlier this week. We definitely have some future stars of the stage in our cast and some comedians in the making. They have a final reprise on Monday morning so that we can capture these special memories on camera!

Gardening
We are having a gardening party tomorrow morning. Gates will be open from 10a.m. until 12 and volunteers are very much welcome. No experience necessary, we will provide guidance and refreshments!

Bidborough's Got Talent

A huge thank you and well done to the School Parliament and Miss Birkett for organising such a wonderful talent show last Friday.  Congratulations to all of the acts who participated - you were all amazing and we were so impressed with all of your performances.  It was very close between all of the acts but the winner was Edward with his fabulous close up card magic which had all of us stunned!  Well done, Edward!

Thank you to all who came to support as well as the PTA and School Parliament families for providing refreshments.  Altogether, we raised nearly £500 for our chosen charities!

Enterprise Week

Next week sees the start of our enterprise week across the school.  All classes will be challenged to design and make a product to sell for a profit.  These will be sold at the summer fete on Saturday 15th July so please do come along to support!  There will be a prize for the class who makes the most profit.  We wish all the children the best of luck and hope they have fun creating their products, whilst building on their DT skills!

Have a great weekend – keep the sun lotion topped up!

Kind regards,

Julie Burton
Headteacher
