Newsletter: Friday 6th October

And so another week draws to a close; this term certainly is flying by!  The children have loved using the MUGA this week for their break times and PE sessions.  We are so grateful to have such a wonderful resource.  Please remember that studded shoes are not permitted on the MUGA so please do check football boots of children attending this club.

In our Celebration Assembly today, we enjoyed hearing about lots of achievements from different children across the school.  We often hear about sporting achievements but please do encourage your children to share with us any other achievements from outside of school; we would love to celebrate them all!

A date for your diaries: on Wednesday 1st November, we will be having a ‘Light’ day.  On this day, children can wear light/bright clothing in exchange for a £1 donation to charity.  Our chosen charities for the year will soon be chosen by our new School Parliament.  Lots of children have been working hard on their speeches to be considered for this role and voting will take place on Monday.  Also happening next week is our first Children’s University session of the year for KS2 children.  The children will find out which course they are participating in on Monday.  Please make sure that your child has any necessary equipment for their session (on Wednesday) i.e. PE kits for archery and majorettes and playing cards & wands (these can be home-made) for magic.

We currently have quite a few cases of vomiting in school.  Please encourage your child to continue to practise good hygiene and wash their hands regularly.

Finally, a reminder please about collection from after school club.  Parents should continue to respect our rules around parking when collecting children.  Also, please ensure that you walk along the footpath next to the school building, rather than through the car park, as there may be cars trying to leave the car park at this time.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
