Newsletter: Friday 5th January
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year!
The children have made a great start back this term and have been learning about being healthy. I’ve heard a few of their new years’ resolutions and wish you all luck with any of yours!
Our first celebration assembly was a busy one as we recognised some outstanding contributions to school sports – Ashton, Ellie, Sophie, James, Joe, Rory and Aidan have been rewarded with new Sports Leaders badges. They have shown a consistent commitment to helping other year groups to enjoy both curriculum and extra-curricular sports.
We also thanked our out-going pupil leadership team and now welcome Ella as Head Girl, Eva as Deputy Head Girl, Jacob as Head Boy and Taylor as Deputy Head Boy. I am sure they will continue to be fantastic role models to the rest of the school and take their new responsibilities seriously.
The weather has turned cold during the week and I gather we are in for a cold spell ahead. Please do make sure that hats and gloves are all named – it does not need to be anything fancy, biro on the label will do!
Class 5 had the best attendance this week with 97.8%! Let’s keep going with the hand washing and fresh air to keep those winter bugs away.
Please find attached information regarding a parents course in understanding ADHD and a special menu for January 18th - an all day breakfast!
Have a great weekend.
Kind regards,
Julie Burton and the Bidborough Team
