Newsletter: Friday 3rd November
It’s been a bit of a wet and windy end to the week! Mr Hawksfield has been doing a brilliant job to try to minimise the number of leaves on site but it is a bit of an endless task; with that in mind, please do be careful when moving around the school grounds during drop off and collection (and this evening if you are attending the fireworks).
We had a sea of light on Wednesday as we celebrated our ‘Light Day’. Thank you all for your support with this and your kind donations – the money raised will go to the British Legion. Our new School Parliament met today so we look forward to bringing you news of this year’s chosen charities soon. On the subject of poppies, we now only have paper poppies left to purchase. If children wish to buy one, they can continue to bring in donations for these next week. We will let you know if we do receive a re-stock of the other items.
We have been asked by our catering company, Caterlink, to provide you with a link for pupil survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/G9VWNSR. Please follow the link to support your child in giving feedback about their school meals.
A few upcoming highlights next week:
- There are still spaces remaining for our Year R and 1 parent phonics meeting on Monday at 2.15. Please let the office know if you wish to attend.
- We will be celebrating Diwali on Thursday; all children will be taking part in activities in their classrooms, culminating in an assembly to share their learning with the rest of the school.
- Children will be making their own poppies and we hope to gather as a school at the church to mark Remembrance Day.
Have a great weekend and, for those of you attending the fireworks here this evening, enjoy!
