Newsletter: Friday 29th September
Another week has flown by and what a week it has been! We ended the week on a joyful high as we finally opened the gates of our MUGA to the children! They all loved spending their Golden Time together enjoying this wonderful new facility and it was lovely to see children of all ages playing together once more. Thank you to you all for your support with this project over the last couple of years. We are hoping to hold an official ‘opening ceremony’ soon – more details to follow.
We also enjoyed celebrating Harvest this morning with a Harvest Samba in our celebration assembly! Thank you for your generous donations which we know will be gratefully received by the Southborough Community Larder.
A reminder please to ensure your child brings a yellow hat to school with them. Although the sun may now not always be shining, we still ask children to wear yellow hats when going off site (e.g. walking to the coach for swimming). Please also make sure that all uniform is labelled; we are finding lots of brand new uniform making its way to Lost Property and would like to make sure that these items are all reunited with their rightful owners.
As you may have seen on the calendar dates that went out at the beginning of term, we have pencilled in all of our class assemblies for this year. It has been necessary for us to swap two of the dates: Class 4 and 5. This means that the Class 5 assembly is now scheduled for Friday 12th January and Class 4 for Friday 8th March. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Next week, we begin our open mornings for prospective parents. All dates for these are on the school website and listed below.
Finally, we are happy to share some more baby news with you! Congratulations to Mrs Willock and her husband who are expecting their second baby in March.
Have a lovely weekend!
