Newsletter: Friday 15th December

And just like that, we have reached the end of Term 2!  The festivities have continued this week with our wonderful KS2 Christmas Celebration.  The children took us on journey through the 12 days of Christmas with their poetry, songs, dance and superb artwork.  It was so lovely to be able to celebrate each and every child’s individuality and see them shine in their own ways; they were amazing!  Thank you to all of the staff and children for their hard work, to all of you for coming to support the children and a special thanks to Mrs Syms for bringing it all together.

We have seen a fantastic array of festive outfits in school today and it set the tone for our Christmas lunch nicely!  The children enjoyed a delicious lunch cooked by our brilliant kitchen staff and kindly served by volunteers organised by the PTA.  Thank you so much to those of you who gave your time today; you all worked so hard and we are incredibly grateful.

Attached with this newsletter, you will find a flyer from the PTA about the recycling of Christmas trees and Term Dates for the academic year 2024-25.  With dates in mind, you may have noticed on the calendar dates that were sent at the beginning of the year a date for an SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) meeting on 4th January.  Please note that this meeting has been postponed but we will be sending you further information about our SRE curriculum early in the term.

On behalf of the whole team here at Bidborough, thank you so much for your kind words and generous gifts.  We wish you all a very happy Christmas and hope you are able to spend it doing all the things you love best with your families.  We look forward to seeing you all back on Wednesday 3rd January.
