Computing
At Bidborough, we aim to embed computing in as many learning opportunities as possible and, throughout their time at school, we will provide our children with concrete experiences of when and how they can use digital media effectively in many different aspects of their lives.
Computing is taught on a weekly basis here using Purple Mash with a focus on vocabulary and embedding knowledge of a range of different multimedia applications to use throughout their time at school. Vocabulary is a key focus at the beginning of each new term and is revisited consistently throughout each topic and assessed at the end.
Through stimulating and challenging experiences, children will continue to develop their love for learning and become safe, confident and independent users of a range of different hardware and software devices.
We promote digital citizenship through modelling how social media should be used responsibly with a strong focus on creating a positive digital footprint.
