Week 24

Dear Parents,

Well, the weather today was certainly a change from last week! I think it caught lots of people unawares but most children did have a waterproof coat with them, meaning we can get them out for some fresh air at least.

This week we had an open Worship and Praise. It was lovely to see so many of you joining in and the children, as ever, singing so well. We also welcomed our new governor, Charles Plant, who thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.

Today, we gave out our first Bidborough Behaviours certificates. Children were rewarded for showing Curiosity, Courage, Collaboration and Celebration in their learning. Congratulations to all who received certificates.

Also, in our celebration assembly, we said thank you and farewell to Mrs Stanton. She has given up her time to coach our netball team for a long time and leaves a flourishing netball club. The team played 9 matches this season, having a goal difference of 48 and coming 2nd in the league to St James.

A number of parents have expressed concerns about a computer game that seems to have gripped the nation. Fortnite – Battle Royale, has a PEGI rating of 12. If you want a balanced view of the game, you could look at this website: http://www.childnet.com/blog/a-parents-guide-to-fortnite-battle-royale

Have a great weekend.

Kind regards,

Julie Burton
