Choir at the Cadogan

Bidborough School Choir and The Zambezi Tales

On Monday 13th March, the Key Stage 2 choir travelled to London to the Cadogan hall. They had been selected to be the Stage choir at the Classical Road Show. This meant the children had to be word perfect in the challenging material, leading children from across London in a performance of Zambezi Tales. Mrs Bateup and Mrs Lindley supported them in their preparations. They were lucky enough to sing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton. He sent us this feedback:

It was lovely to see you on Monday and great that your Bidborough musicians could be the stage choir for my final Cadogan concert for the CRS. Please thank them all on my behalf; I thought they did splendidly and several of the CRS Board said they thought it was the best concert that they had attended.

They were clearly very well prepared and I hope that they enjoyed themselves and have a well-deserved sense of achievement.  I hope they continue to love singing as much as they obviously do at the moment.
